First of all, great music and delicious chicken. I like the way you worked so hard, not only to prepare it, but to serve it around the fire. My only suggestion is to somehow tie the pheasant into where we are on the expedition. Did the Mandans provide the pheasant? Was it after we left the fort and headed up river? Date your entries and your recipes so we can know when they happen. Thanks for your hard work.
